Every September, Apple unveils its major global innovations. This year, the Cupertino-based company unveiled the powerful new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro, as well as the incredibly slim iPhone Air. All of them have been given new colored casings, one of which has a cosmic “color”. The Cosmic Orange model, inspired by the hues of Martian sands and fiery nebulae, is a statement that photographs of the night sky can now be taken without a telescope.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro
The Pro line has undergone the most significant and major changes in recent years. For the first time in iPhone history, the case is made of anodized aluminum. This decision made it possible to fit the largest battery of any Apple smartphone, the latest cooling system, and an updated camera inside.

The key feature is a vapor chamber for temperature control. It evenly distributes heat across the entire surface of the device, preventing overheating even under the highest loads, ensuring stable operation of the powerful A19 Pro chipset.
The new products will be available in three colors: Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue, and Silver.

The screens are now larger: 6.3“ on the Pro and 6.9” on the Pro Max, protected by more durable Ceramic Shield 2 glass.
The photo system is now located on a special “plateau.” It includes three 48 MP sensors: a telephoto lens, a wide-angle lens, and an ultra-wide-angle lens, as well as an 18 MP front camera.
The telephoto lens provides an 8x optical zoom. For comparison, this is close to the focal length of a modest amateur telescope. The stabilization system was given the brand name “Orion” because its algorithms were trained on images of the Orion Nebula.

For the first time, a smartphone features a “Deep Space” mode. It automatically superimposes up to 120 frames with different exposures, identifying and suppressing digital noise. This provides clear images of the Moon with detailed craters, bright planets of the Solar System, and stars.
Endurance is required for long sessions of observing the starry sky. That’s why Apple claims that the new iPhone 17 Pro has record-breaking battery life: up to 39 hours of video playback on the Pro Max version.

The standard models have also been updated. They feature a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and ProMotion technology for incredibly smooth performance. Their durability has also been significantly improved thanks to Ceramic Shield 2.
The heart of the device is the new A19 processor with an improved neural engine. In addition to being faster, it is also significantly more energy efficient, adding up to 8 additional hours of battery life. The main camera has a 48 MP sensor, while the front camera has improved stabilization, a wider viewing angle, and a “center stage” feature that automatically adapts the shot to landscape mode without rotating the phone.
iPhone 17 Air from Space titanium

The iPhone Air was a real surprise. It is only 5.6 mm thick and its case is made of space titanium. Thanks to Ceramic Shield 2 on both sides, it is the most durable iPhone ever. The 6.5-inch screen with ProMotion support and 3000 nits brightness is always on.
Despite its size, it is powered by a powerful A19 Pro chipset. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and the updated C1X modem provides twice as fast connectivity. The innovative camera has a single protrusion, but conceals two lenses: a 48-megapixel main lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The intelligent Adaptive Power Mode analyzes user habits to optimize energy consumption, ensuring operation throughout the day.
Availability and release dates
