Former US President Barack Obama is back in the spotlight after making a sensational statement that has sent shockwaves through the media. In a recent interview with progressive podcaster Brian Tyler Cohen, he was asked a direct question: “Is there extraterrestrial life?” The answer from the 44th president of the United States was simple but explosive: “They’re real.”

These words instantly spread like wildfire, causing conspiracy theorists to rejoice. However, Obama, known for his level-headedness and irony, immediately made skeptics listen more closely.
Debunking myths about Area 51
The moment of triumph for conspiracy theorists was followed by disappointment. Even while acknowledging the existence of aliens, Obama categorically denied the most popular theory about where the American military is hiding them.

“But I haven’t seen them,” the former president immediately clarified. “They’re not being kept at Area 51. There’s no underground facility.”
With his statement, Obama effectively put the end to decades of speculation about a secret US Air Force base in Nevada, which became the subject of Hollywood blockbusters and legends in the UFO community. However, he left a small loophole for conspiracy theorists, adding with a smile: “Unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the President of the United States.”
What lies behind recognition?
Interestingly, the interviewer did not delve into details or ask Obama about the sources of his confidence, leaving the audience intrigued. Is the former leader of the free world relying on secret reports to which he had access during his presidency? Or is it just his personal philosophical opinion based on the scale of the Universe?
Obama left the answer to this question open. But the very fact that the man who ruled the most powerful country in the world publicly declared the reality of extraterrestrial life lends importance to the eternal question: “Are we alone in the Universe? Now this is no longer just a hypothesis put forward by science fiction writers, but a thesis voiced at the highest level.
Earlier, we explained why we still haven’t found aliens.
