Serhii Beskrestnov, one of Ukraine’s leading experts in the field of electronic intelligence and countermeasures, has made a sensational statement. It turns out that UFOs have been spotted repeatedly over the combat zone during the large-scale war, and there is even an entire unit dedicated to studying them.

UFO over Ukraine
The U.S. Department of Defense’s release of documents regarding UFO activity has had unexpected consequences. Serhii Beskrestnov, one of Ukraine’s leading experts in communications, electronic intelligence, and electronic warfare, stated that during the large-scale war, unexplained phenomena were observed here as well.
In particular, he reported that in 2023 he posted a video on his page of an unidentified object that had been observed by an aerial reconnaissance unit. According to him, within an hour he was contacted by representatives of a unit within the Ministry of Defense that has been studying such phenomena ever since Ukraine gained independence.
With the outbreak of a large-scale war, UFO research in our region has become more of a military priority than a civilian one. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have even issued a comprehensive document on the subject, approved by the Commander-in-Chief.
Therefore, the U.S. is not the only country dealing with such issues. Beskrestnov urged all military personnel who had observed unexplained objects in the sky to send him videos. He posted one of them on his page just a few hours after his sensational post. The footage was captured by a drone hovering near an unidentified object at an altitude of about 800 meters above the ground.
Why we should study UFOs
This is far from the first time UFOs have been mentioned during the war in Ukraine. At the very beginning of the invasion, inexperienced soldiers from various units often opened fire on various lights in the sky, which later turned out to be satellites, the International Space Station, or simply planets.
This was followed by reports of meteorite falls, which were also said to be UFOs. These incidents might have made observers more skeptical. After all, just because you can’t identify an object in the sky doesn’t mean it’s of extraterrestrial origin.
However, the military knows why every reported UFO sighting should be investigated, especially during wartime. Because each one may turn out to be an example not of alien technology, but of technology that is entirely Earth-based—yet hostile.
The war of drones could be mentioned here, with the conflict between Ukraine and Russia at its forefront. However, we can just as easily recall how the U.S. military recently began shooting down UFOs, which turned out to be Chinese balloons carrying “scientific” equipment. But for some reason, they were conducting their “research” right above clusters of U.S. military installations.
