American astrophotographer John Kraus shared an interesting story. He photographed the ISS, while the station’s crew photographed him.

Kraus’ goal was to photograph the ISS transiting against the backdrop of the Moon. Astrophotographers often take such shots, but this photo session was different in that the ISS crew knew about it in advance. Kraus arranged with American astronaut Zena Cardman that when he was photographing the station, she would photograph the place in Florida where he was located.
As a result, Kraus and Cardman ended up with these shots. According to the photographer, the astronaut missed her target slightly. While the general shot actually shows Florida, the highly magnified image shows the coast of North Carolina.

According to Kraus, he and Cardman plan to repeat the photo shoot in the near future. When asked by a subscriber whether he waved to the ISS during the shoot, Kraus replied, “Of course.”
Earlier, we talked about a unique photograph of the transit of the ISS taken during a solar flare.
